To date, halogen lamps have not been able to polymerize without high heat generation and have brought little useful radiation (on average 500 mW / cm 2 at the wavelength used). The maximum emission spectrum of these lamps (over 480 nm) does not correspond to the optimal absorption of the photoinitiators used in dentistry (from 430 to 470 nm).
The latest generation of L.E.D. lamps ("Light Emitting Diode"), based on this technology, meets the latest requirements.
The Satelec® Mini L.E.D. combines performance, effectiveness and speed with each other:
• An output of 1,250 mW / cm2, significantly higher than most halogen lamps; achieves the efficiency of plasma lamps without heat generation;
• emission in the most effective and optimally adapted to most composites area of the light spectrum (camphor quinone 470 nm, PPD and PAB 430 nm);
• Polymerization of most composites in a thickness of 2 mm in 6 to 12 seconds!
